The team of advocates from the Odessa region won second place in the First regional tournament on mini-football
On 15 and 16 October 2016 the First regional tournament on mini-football for the Cup of the Head of the Odessa Regional Bar Council among the teams of advocates from the Odessa region, city’s courts and law enforcement authorities took place in Odessa. The organizer of the tournament was the ORBC Committee on culture, tourism, sports and social support of advocates (Chairman of the Committee is advocate S. Adabash).
The tournament was opened by Mr Yosyp Bronz, the ORBC Head, along with famous football players - striker and coach Valeriy Porkuyan, the USSR triple champion in football, and defender and coach Viktor Zubkov.
The competition was attended by 11 football teams: team of advocates from the Odessa region; combined team of commercial courts of the Odessa region; team of the Kyivskyy District Court of Odessa; team of the Suvorivskyy District Court of Odessa; team of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region; team of the Odessa local prosecutor's office no. 2; team of journalists of the Odessa region; team of patrol police of Odessa; team of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Odessa region; team of the South Regional Department of State Border Service; and the team of the Prymorskyy District Court of Odessa.
Following the results of the draw, the football team of advocates from the Odessa region got into the same group with teams-favourites of the tournament: select teams of the State Security Service in the Odessa region and the Suvorivskyy District Court of Odessa.
In the final, the advocates took the second place; the third place was taken by the team of the patrol police of Odessa. Also, following the results of the tournament, the second best goalkeeper of the tournament was declared advocate Ivan Prylepskyy, goalkeeper of the select team of advocates of the Odessa region.
The winners of the tournament were awarded commemorative medals and cups.
