The UNBA prepared a manual “Advocate’s technique: direct questioning and opening statement methodologies"
The CPC 2012 provides for peculiarities of criminal proceedings, including primarily provisions which provide for parties broadened possibilities in the implementation of the adversarial principle. For this, an advocate should possess basic tools of legal technique, including methods of preparation of direct questioning and opening statement.
The manual discusses basic techniques and tactics of direct questioning and opening statement, the mastery of which will help advocates in achieving maximum results in the court proceedings.
The practical manual was prepared by Mr Yaroslav Zeykan, a well-known advocate, Head of the UNBA Committee on legislative initiatives for the bar. The manual is the author’s second contribution in a series of the UNBA training materials.
