Project on advocate’s practice for youth was opened in Dnipro
On the initiative of the UNBA represented by the Centre for Research of Law and the Bar and the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Bar Council, a regional project "The bar and practice of law: basic questions of practice" was opened at the University of Customs and Finance in Dnipro.
The purpose of this regional project for law students from the south-eastern region is to explain, by joint efforts of the UNBA, law faculties of universities of the south-eastern region and local self-government bodies of the bar, the basics of practice of law and to promote the institution of the bar among students.
The first regional project was opened by advocate Valentyn Gvozdiy, the UNBA Deputy President, who explained basic principles of practice of law, importance of keeping professional secrecy and significance of legal ethics.
After opening the project, the trilateral memorandum of cooperation between the UNBA represented by Mr Valentyn Gvozdiy, the university represented by its Rector Mr Viktor Kuzemko and the DRBC represented by Mrs Tatiana Leshchenko was signed.
It should be noted that the regional project is the third project implemented by the UNBA, the DRBC and the UCF. In December 2016 a cabinet of history of the bar was opened at the UCF, on 13 February 2017 a new course on "Practice of law and defence in criminal proceedings" was launched at the university, and on 24 February a regional project "Practice of law and the bar: basic questions of practice" was opened.
Thus, from now on, once a month, with the assistance of the DRBC, practicing advocates will share their experience with law students from all law schools of the south-eastern region. Classes will be held in the Cabinet of history of the bar and law of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
We would like to express our gratitude to the UCF First Vice-rector Viktor Chentsov, Associate Professor and advocate Shavkat Dovlatov, and advocates from the region for the help in the realization of the project.Popular news
