The Reporting and Election Congress of advocates will be held on June 9-10 in Kyiv
The Bar Council of Ukraine has scheduled the Reporting and Election Congress of advocates to be held on June 9-10, 2017 in Kyiv. The BCU members will be included in the organizing committee.
By its decision the BCU has also approved the representation quota for the congress, namely, 1 from 100. It has also approved the quotas for the conduct of regional Reporting and Election Conferences (with an open date) and conferences for the election of delegates to the Congress (no later than May 9).
The BCU has further adopted a procedure and rules of the Congress and has approved its agenda. The Bar representatives at the HCJ, HQCJ and QDCP will not be elected during the said Congress.
Announcing the adoption of these decisions, the President of the UNBA and BCU, Lidiia Izovitova, stressed out that the completion of the five-year term of office of the leaders of the bar self-government bodies shall ensure the continuality of work and transfer of the gained experience.
“I hope that this election year, full of regional Reporting and Election Conferences and the Reporting and Election Congress, will pass more or less smoothly. I hope that those members of the bar self-government, who are not re-elected, will be able to pass the traditions initiated by them and will ensure smooth transfer of documentation so that the new people are able to understand the policy we pursued in the bar for the last 5 years”, - stressed the President of the UNBA and BCU.
The Congress starts at 11.00 am.
The delegates registration starts at 10.00 am.

- approval of the rules of the Reporting and Election Congress of the advocates of Ukraine 2017;

- report of the President of the Bar Council of Ukraine; consideration of the report of the Bar Council of Ukraine;
- election of the President of the Bar Council of Ukraine (ex officio the President of the Ukrainian National Bar Association);
- report of the Deputy Heads of the Bar Council of Ukraine;
- election of the Deputy President of the Bar Council of Ukraine, whose term of office expires in 2017;
