UNBA President congratulated Belarusian colleagues on the 95th anniversary of the Bar Association

The UNBA, BCU President Lidiia Izovitova took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Belarusian Republican Bar Association in Minsk.

“95 years of the Belarusian Republican Bar Association is a date worthy of respect. You feel the history behind, the stability of the bar institute, its ability to change in a new environment, but also to preserve the legacy of previous generations. The values of our profession remain unchanged – the justice, human rights, and law. And these values unite all advocates despite the borders between the countries, despite the difference in the law or the way the bar is organized”, - said the UNBA President.

Lidiia Izovitova wished Belarusian advocates the stamina and energy in fulfilling their constitutional mission, effective efforts to protect the citizens’ rights and interests, as well as the professional victories and achievements.

“For us, the rights of citizens and the constitutional guarantees for their protection are not a declaration, but the essence of our ethical and professional code”, - emphasized the UNBA President.

According to Lidiia Izovitova, the Ukrainian bar, which is now actively reforming, adapts the best world practices, fights for its independence, and is ready to give its support, advice and share experiences in the development of the legal profession.
