UNBA will adopt the best international experience in providing advocate services pro bono

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee on International Relations Vitaly Vlasyuk took part in the event "V4 and the EU Eastern partners' exchange on Pro bono & Advocacy", dedicated to the exchange of experience in providing legal assistance on Pro bono terms.

The meeting was held at the Polish Pro Bono Center (Warsaw) with participation of the colleagues from Belarus, Moldova and Georgia.

The discussion concerned the introduction and development of modern approaches to the provision of legal services on Pro bono terms in Ukraine, in particular the possibilities of an advocate to declare readiness to provide legal aid on Pro bono terms in a personal profile in the Unified Register of Advocates of Ukraine. It also referred to the Pro bono activities as an important component of protection and ensuring the equality of human rights. The forum participants also discussed the development of the system of non-governmental organizations for enhancement their ability to provide pro bono aid.

As it is known, the new functional of the URAU provides for the possibility to indicate that the advocate provides pro bono services.
