The Committee on protection of advocates' rights prepares to inform the International Commission of Jurists on violation of professional rights in Ukraine

On July 6, 2018 there was held regular meeting of the Committee on the protection of advocate's rights and professional guarantees.

During the meeting it was decided to include into the composition of the new Committee the following members – K. Chetvertak, Yu. Zhuk, M. Puchyn, Ye. Miroshnikov and L. Skokin.

The Secretary of the Committee was elected Yu. Grygorenko.

According to the results of consideration of the appeal of the Chairman of the section for work with regions O. Karnaukh and her appeals to the Committee it was decided  that it is necessary to involve all members of the Committee to respond to the appeal in connection with the excessive volume of such appeals.

The Committee also discussed the holding of a scientific and practical discussion of the subjects of procedural messages and appeal of suspicion in the context of violations of advocates' rights. The event is scheduled for the second half of September 2018.

In addition, The Committee members heard a report on the results of the mission trip of representatives of the Committee to the city of Geneva to participate in the conference of the International Commission of Jurists. According to the results of the hearing by the members of the Committee, it was decided to develop an algorithm of the procedure of appeal concerning violation of advocates' rights to the International Commission of Jurists.

The Committee's next meeting is scheduled for September 10, 2018 at 15-30.
