The training under the educational course of the Council of Europe in the field of human rights “HELP” was held in Kharkiv
On October 25, 2018 in Kharkiv, the Ukrainian National Bar Association conducted training for lawyers under the leading educational course of the Council of Europe in the field of human rights “HELP” "Introduction to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms."
Viktoriia Haivoronska, the Chairman of the Bar Council of Kharkiv Region, spoke with a welcoming speech.
HELP Coordinator from the bar, Olena Sibilyova, presented all Council of Europe HELP courses and educational events that are being held and planned by the Ukrainian National Bar Association for this program.
Trainers were certified experts from the Council of Europe and the Ukrainian National Bar Association Olena Sibilyova and Ruslan Balkovy.
The event was conducted in accordance with the methodology of the interactive training of the HELP Council of Europe program, taking into account the experience of teaching professional representatives of legal professions: the main principles and objectives of the European Convention on Human Rights were highlighted, some autonomous concepts used by the Court were discussed, the procedure of consideration of the case in the ECHR was outlined, as well as other regulatory issues of the work of European Court of Human Rights, the main issues regarding the admissibility of the appeals of the ECHR were discussed and also the main aspects of the right for respect for private and family life. During the training, the group successfully processed practical cases in mini-subgroups.
The training was attended by 23 participants (advocates, advocate`s assistants, trainees) who signed for the HELP distance course for in-depth study, mastering and further application of principles and conventional standards.

Draft law 10449: UNBA submits amendments to the lawyers' booking
