The advocates of Lviv region has presented draft law № 9055 proposals
The draft law № 9055 “On the Bar and Advocacy” has been discussed during a joint meeting of the Lviv Region Bar Council and Qualification and Disciplinary Commission.
Resulting from the discussion, advocates of the region prepared article-by-article proposals and comments regarding the draft law. At the same time, there were also discussed the draft laws № 9055-1 dated of 14.09.2018 and № 9055-2 dated of 20.09.2018.
“We believe these draft laws are to improve the law regulation of the bar, advocacy and main basics for providing professional legal assistance in Ukraine, and also improve the protection of advocates’ rights” - stated the advocates of Lviv region.
Professional community of the region considers that alternative draft laws are based on provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, improve the provisions of existing relevant Law “On the Bar and Advocacy”, do not have contradictions with other legal acts and decisions of the bar self-government bodies.
The advocates of Lviv region urge to take the proposal into consideration when deciding on the draft law “On the Bar and Advocacy”.
