Representatives of UNBA met with the delegation of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Argentine Republic
Representatives of the Ukrainian National Bar Association met with the delegation of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Argentine Republic.
The Argentine delegation included the State Secretary for Access to Justice of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Argentine Republic Maria Fernanda Rodríguez, the National Director of Access to Justice of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Argentine Republic Gustavo Maurino, and the secretary of the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Ukraine, Martin Castro.
On the part of UNBA guests were welcomed by the BCU Secretary Igor Kolesnikov, Deputy Head of the UNBA Committee on International Affairs Vitalii Vlasiuk and Deputy Head of the UNBA Secretariat Antonina Bondarenko. Christina Litoshenko joined the discussion on behalf of the Directorate for Human Rights, access to justice and legal awareness of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine to address issues of common interest.
During the discussion, UNBA representatives outlined the preconditions for establishing an independent bar in Ukraine and the basics of its functioning. Of particular interest to the representatives of the foreign delegation was the optimization of the organizational work of the advocates in the e-cabinet and the openness of Ukrainian advocates to work on pro bono basis, so these points were given special attention during the discussion. In general, the Argentine delegation positively assessed the initiatives of the UNBA.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to develop a dialogue on other issues related to the interaction of the advocates of the two states.

Draft law 10449: UNBA submits amendments to the lawyers' booking
In order to ensure the constitutional guarantee of everyone's right to legal aid, the draft law No. 10449 on strengthening mobilization should provide for the reservation of lawyers. The relevant amendments will be sent to the entities involved in the process of preparing the draft law for the second reading.

The Committee of Experts on the Protection of Lawyers presented the text of the draft Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of the Rights of Lawyers. The document is being prepared for approval by stakeholders. The final version should be developed by the end of the year.
