In the Ministry of Justice, the UNBA representatives participated in a meeting on the introduction of a monopoly of the bar

The Head of the UNBA Committee on legal aid Sergii Vylkov, Deputy Head of the UNBA Committee on international relations Vitalii Vlasiuk, Head of the UNBA Committee on mediation Vladyslav Sytiuk and Member of the UNBA Committee on legislative initiatives on the bar Olena Sibilyova took part in the meeting on representation of the interests of the state before the courts of Ukraine under conditions of the monopoly of the bar.

In particular, there were discussed the peculiarities of representing the interests of executive power bodies and enterprises before the courts under conditions of the monopoly of the bar — cost planning, determination of sources for outsourcing advocates’ services; dualism in the legal support of the activity of executive authorities, enterprises (legal adviser + independent advocate), mechanism of involvement of advocates; advantages and potential risks of cooperation with independent law firms.

Advocates, heads of legal agencies of the Ministry of Justice, human rights activists together discussed the practical implementation of constitutional amendments.
