UNBA Centre for Research on the Bar and Law reported for 2019
UNBA Academic and Methodological Centre for Research on the Bar and Law presented its report for 2019.
The document contains 5 sections that outline major achievements in areas such as:
-scientific work;
-methodic work;
- educational projects;
-Art projects and promotion activities;
- application for grant programs.
In 2019 the Center prepared and released a number of monographs. In particular, "Ukrainian Bar of Volyn in the Lithuanian-Polish Era (XVI-XVIII centuries)" by M. Dovbyshchenko, "A short way to tell about yourself: an album of business cards from the archival holdings of Ukraine, as well as advertising placed in the Ukrainian press of the late nineteenth century. - 30-ies of the twentieth century", edited by O. Ivasyuk, I. Vasylik, and also released the annual desktop illustrated calendar of UNBA" Lawyers - Writers 2020". 6 more collections from the history of the Bar are in development. In addition, the Center has published nearly 20 scientific articles.
During the last year, the Center organized a series of scientific and educational activities: solemn academy "Bar of Chernihiv region in the light of the past and present" on the basis of the Faculty of History and Law of Nizhyn State University named after Gohol and the International Scientific Conference "Conflict in Ukrainian culture and history as subject for Ukrainian scientific research" in cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University.
In 2019, representatives of the Center opened the offices of the history of the bar and the nominal audiences of advocates in higher educational establishments of the regions, presented the All-Ukrainian mobile exhibition Advocates in the Ukrainian state-building" in Lviv, Ternopil, Lutsk, Kharkiv and Nizhyn. In addition, together with “UkrPoshta”, the postage stamp “Attorneys-at-Law” was released.

In particular, the complaints relate to the inability to log in to the electronic office, which restricts advocates in exercising their procedural rights, in particular, to submit documents and participate in court hearings in the videoconference mode.

The price of a claim for minor disputes will be significantly reduced - draft law
The current amounts of the claim price (as a criterion for classifying a case as minor) are significantly higher than the subsistence minimum and minimum wage and do not correspond to the understanding of the case and the dispute in it as minor. Accordingly, they should be revised downward.
