UNBA Foreign Office in Hungary provides pro bono primary legal assistance to Ukrainian citizens during quarantine measures

Last week, Hungarian company WHC Kft applied to the UNBA Foreign Office in Hungary for legal assistance and clarifications on the current regime of transportation and departure from Hungary and entry into Ukraine of more than 200 Ukrainian citizens (during the quarantine measures imposed in both countries).

The company provides labor leasing services to multinational companies located in Hungary. Citizens of Ukraine make up a significant part of the staff of WHC Kft.

UNBA Foreign Office in Hungary, in close cooperation with the Consular Section of the Embassy of Ukraine in Hungary, provided a full and detailed explanation of the rules, procedures and conditions of departure of Ukrainian citizens during quarantine from Hungary and the procedure for crossing the Hungarian-Ukrainian border Zahon-Chop given the recent changes in the work of checkpoints across the state border of Ukraine.

It was also possible to establish direct contact with the Consulate General of Ukraine in Nyíregyháza to organize further consular assistance in the return of a group of Ukrainian citizens numbering more than 200 people to the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, the UNBA Foreign Office in Hungary, on a pro bono basis, provides primary legal assistance to citizens of Ukraine who are in Hungary during quarantine measures and need clarification or protection of their labor and personal rights.
