The UNBA and the French National Bar Council signed a Memorandum of Cooperation
On March 20, 2023, a delegation from the French National Bar Council, led by Arnaud de Saint-Rémy, President of the Working Group on Children's rights, met with the leadership of the Ukrainian National Bar Association in Kyiv.
During the meeting, a Memorandum of cooperation between the Ukrainian National Bar Association and the French National Bar Council was signed.
The document was concluded with the aim of cooperation and exchange of information and experience, implementation of activities in the field of ensuring the rule of law, protection of human and civil rights and freedoms on the basis of equality, mutual benefit, and adherence to generally accepted norms and principles.
The signatories to the Memorandum agreed to implement joint activities, projects, and programs, as well as to hold joint consultations with the aim of developing a coordinated position on solving the most acute and pressing problems in the field of implementing the constitutional principle of the rule of law, promoting the development of citizens' legal awareness on issues related to the implementation and protection of their rights and freedoms, and the development of the legal profession.
A delegation from the French National Bar Council is on a working visit to Ukraine at the invitation of the Ukrainian National Bar Association with a monitoring mission on the protection of children's rights with a focus on wartime.
