The Ukrainian Embassy in Italy has provided information on the legal aspects of the Roadmap

On February 2, the President of the UNBA, BCU, Lidiya Izovitova, held a meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Italian Republic Oksana Amjadin.

The conversation focused on updating the diplomatic mission on the implementation of the Roadmap on the rule of law, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on May 14, 2025, No. 475-r, in relation to advocacy, and outlining how the institution of defense is building international cooperation in this area.

A separate focus was on informing the embassy about the association's working contacts with Italian institutions of bar self-government and the practical results of such dialogue, in particular against the backdrop of the recent professional meeting in Rome.

The parties also raised issues related to the signing and ratification of the Council of Europe Convention for the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer and the significance of this step for strengthening guarantees of independent legal practice in the context of the European integration process.
