The Paris Bar Association has opened registration for Stage International 2026

The Paris Bar Association (Barreau de Paris) has announced that it is accepting applications for the Stage International program, which will run from October 5 to November 27, 2026.

Applications can be submitted until April 3 via the bar association's website.

Stage International combines intensive training at the Higher School of Professional Training for Advocates at the Paris Court of Appeal (EFB) on ethics, the legal system, and court procedures in civil, criminal, and commercial law (taught by highly qualified practicing lawyers and professors) with subsequent practical immersion in the work of Parisian law firms. The format includes practice-oriented classes, visits to court hearings at the Palace of Justice, and an introduction to France's leading legal institutions.

The organizers emphasize that the program is aimed at French-speaking young advocates (under 40) who want to learn more about French legal practice and expand their professional contacts in an international environment.

The basic requirements for candidates include: current status as an advocate, excellent command of French, and professional civil liability insurance. The online application must be accompanied by a resume and cover letter in French, a copy of the passport, and an extract from the URAU dated 2026.

The training is free of charge and funded by the Paris Bar Association, but participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses in Paris.
