The subgroup on access to the profession has defined its working priorities

On March 9, a meeting of the subgroup of the Working Group on the implementation of the Roadmap on the rule of law in the area of reforming the legal profession «Access to the profession and training of advocates. Organizational forms of legal practice» was held.

The event took place in the format of a video conference.

The meeting was opened by the Vice President of the UNBA, BCU Oleksiy Kukhar. He outlined four areas of work: examinations, internships, digital tools (testing), and ensuring accessibility for persons with disabilities. He also recalled the parameters set out in the Roadmap on the Rule of Law, approved by the CMU Decree No. 475-r of May 14, 2025.

The participants discussed how to organize the work so that the subgroup's findings could be formalized both as proposals for legislative changes and as updates to the acts of bar self-government, without losing control of the process and the quality of procedures.

The discussion was joined by the head of the Secretariat of the UNBA, BCU Vadym Krasnyk, the chairman of the Kharkiv Region Bar Council Viktoria Haivoronska, the chairman of the Khmelnytskyi Region Bar Council Nataliia Vahina and advocate Rostyslav Kravets. The conversation touched on practical issues of technical implementation of digital solutions and equal conditions for candidates in different regions, as well as specific situations that arise during internships.
