Yuriy Grygorenko has been appointed chair of the UNBA Committee on offenses against advocates |

In accordance with the recommendations of the Bar Council of Ukraine regarding the Committee chairman and pursuant to the order of the President of the UNBA, BCU advocate Yuriy Grygorenko has been appointed chairman of the Committee on the prevention of administrative offenses. The Committee is a standing advisory collegial body established under the UNBA by Order No. 113 dated July 1, 2024. Its activities are aimed at establishing the legal and organizational framework for monitoring administrative offenses involving advocates, as well as developing and implementing preventive mechanisms to prevent such offenses. The Committee’s tasks include monitoring and analyzing actions aimed at preventing such offenses, investigating and summarizing the circumstances that contributed to their commission, publicizing the results of this work on the UNBA’s information resources, and organizing forums and conferences to discuss issues related to protecting advocates from administrative offenses. «It is important for advocacy to both respond to offenses that have already been committed and to work proactively, - commented Y. Grygorenko. - The Committee should become an effective platform where typical problems are summarized, practices are analyzed, and practical recommendations are formulated to prevent administrative offenses against advocates». Advocates Leonid Skokin and Anastasia Burkovska have been appointed as deputy chairs of the UNBA Committee on the prevention of administrative offenses committed against advocates and Yevgeniy Ivanchenko has been appointed as the Committee’s secretary. |
