Andriy Bulgarov has been appointed spokesperson for the UNBA

Ukrainian TV presenter and journalist Andriy Bulgarov has been appointed spokesperson for the Ukrainian National Bar Association. He will be responsible for implementing the Association’s communications policy, expanding cooperation with the journalistic community, and representing the Association’s official position both in Ukraine and internationally.

For over ten years, A.Bulgarov has created and hosted socio-political and analytical programs on the country’s leading television channels. In particular, he hosted the nationwide telethon «Yedyni Novyny» (on the Ukraine/Ukraine 24 channel) and has appeared on ICTV, Espreso.TV, Channel 5 and Ukraine World News. His professional portfolio includes dozens of journalistic pieces on economic and political topics, as well as screenplays for documentary projects.

The new spokesperson’s media background is complemented by his experience in public service. Over the years, he has headed the Reni District State Administration in the Odesa region, held leadership positions at the State Price Control Inspectorate, and worked within the tax service.

A.Bulgarov’s key priorities in this role will be:

• Ensuring the Association’s prompt and clear response to high-profile social and legal events;
• Consistently defending advocates’ professional guarantees through public communication, publicly countering instances of pressure on the profession and attempts to equate advocates with their clients;
• Establishing a clear and transparent dialogue between the legal profession, government agencies, the media, and the general public;
• Strengthening the voice of the Ukrainian advocacy profession on international platforms.

Appointing a specialist who combines practical experience in the mainstream media with an understanding of government mechanisms will help strengthen the UNBA’s authority and reliably protect the interests of the entire legal community.
