A representative of the UNBA will be stationed in Düsseldorf
By Order No. 159 of the President of the UNBA, BCU, dated June 3, 2026, advocate Vyacheslav Us has been appointed as the representative of the Ukrainian National Bar Association in the Federal Republic of Germany, in the city of Düsseldorf.
Vyacheslav Us has been practicing law since 1981 and has been a licensed attorney since 1996. At various times, he has held leadership positions in judicial bodies, served as an assistant to a member of parliament, and as an assistant to the chairman of a regional council. He is a member of the Higher Audit Commission of the UNBA. He currently resides and practices law in Germany as a foreign advocate with the Düsseldorf Bar Association.
Throughout his many years of practice, he has represented the interests of individuals and legal entities in courts of various instances, participated in complex legal disputes related to the protection of human rights and freedoms, as well as in cases heard by international judicial institutions, including the European Court of Human Rights. In his professional practice, he pays particular attention to issues concerning the protection of Ukrainian citizens’ rights abroad, the development of international legal cooperation, and the interaction of Ukrainian advocacy with the legal institutions of European Union member states.
«Germany has become one of the main countries of residence for Ukrainians in Europe, and along with this, the demand for legal support regarding migration status, social security, employment, integration, and interaction with government agencies has significantly increased, - noted V. Us. - I see a need for greater coordination among Ukrainian advocates working in Germany. Therefore, in my capacity as the UNBA representative in Düsseldorf, I would like to promote the development of professional cooperation, the exchange of practical experience, and the strengthening of the protection of Ukrainian citizens’ rights abroad».
As a reminder, according to the Regulations on the representation of the Ukrainian National Bar Association Abroad, approved by the decision of the BCU dated September 2, 2022, No. 59, representatives of the UNBA abroad:
- represent the interests of the UNBA in a specific country in relations with representatives of foreign bar associations, representatives of foreign government agencies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, and scientific institutions, as well as with individuals and legal entities;
- cooperate with foreign diplomatic missions in the host country;
- establish contacts with the UNBA’s foreign partners, maintain and develop ties with international organizations;
- organize and conduct lectures, seminars, training sessions, conferences, and other informational and educational events;
- work to attract grants and funds from foreign charitable foundations (organizations).
The activities of UNBA representatives abroad are funded at their own expense, through funds from sponsors (individuals and legal entities), charitable foundations (organizations), and are based on the principle of self-financing. The UNBA does not fund or cover the expenses of representatives.
