The CEC has recognized Andriy Misyats as an elected member of the Ukrainian parliament

The Central Election Commission has adopted a decision recognizing Andriy Misyats as an elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine. He is currently serving as acting chairman of the High Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar.

This was announced by the press service of the CEC Secretariat.

The decision was made in connection with the early termination of the mandates of two members of parliament who submitted personal statements resigning from their parliamentary seats. Both were elected in the special parliamentary elections on July 21, 2019, as candidates of the «Servant of the people» political party.

One of the next candidates in line on the party’s electoral list is A. Misyats, listed as No. 167. Therefore, having reviewed Verkhovna Rada Resolutions No. 4971-IX and No. 4972-IX dated September 3, 2026, the CEC recognized him as an elected People’s Deputy of Ukraine.

The Commission also noted that, in order to be registered as a People’s Deputy, A. Misyats must submit the documents required by election law to the CEC no later than the twentieth day following the official publication of the decision. The Commission must issue a decision on registration no later than the fifth day following receipt of those documents.

In accordance with Article 79 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the powers of a People’s Deputy begin upon taking the oath before the Verkhovna Rada.

Andriy Misyats is an advocate, a Candidate of Juridical Sciences, an Honored Lawyer of Ukraine and a member of the Scientific and Advisory Council of the UNBA. In June 2017, he was elected deputy chairman of the High Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar and since November 15, 2024, he has been temporarily serving as acting chairman of the High Qualification and Disciplinary Commission of the Bar.
