print version

The UNBA Board of Trustees supported the families of 10 more advocates who found themselves in difficult life circumstances due to the hostilities in Ukraine.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held on November 30, 2023.

First of all, the UNBA Board of Trustees considered the appeals from the advocates and their family members who lost their relatives in the war. It was decided to provide financial support to the families of three victims: the wife of a lawyer from Kherson and two lawyers from Rivne, whose husbands were killed while performing their missions.

Three more lawyers - from Rivne, Mykolaiv and Volyn regions - who were wounded in the combat zone and are undergoing treatment in medical institutions will receive funds for their treatment.

The UNBA Board of Trustees also provided financial assistance to two attorneys from Bakhmut and Kharkiv. Their homes and property were completely destroyed as a result of shelling.

In addition, the funds were allocated to an advocate from Kyiv, whose mother needs expensive treatment, and to an advocate from Donetsk region, who has a disability of group II and has poor mobility.

In total, since the UNBA Board of Trustees was established, more than 550 applications from advocates have been considered. The fourth Report on International Charitable Assistance to Ukrainian Advocates, which covers the period from the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation to August 15 this year, was published on the UNBA's official website.
