Cost-effective booking is better than uncertainty, - Chairman of the UNBA Committee

The concept of cost-effective reservation of employees liable for military service by Ukrainian enterprises, which is to be implemented in the draft law No. 10449 on strengthening mobilization, is intended to increase the flow of funds for the needs of the army. What can we expect from it?

FOCUS asked Andriy Shabelnikov, Chairman of the UNBA Committee on Investment Activity and Privatization, about the concept and nuances of the reservation.

«We in the committee are constantly discussing these proposals for economic booking with representatives of Ukrainian business, - he said. - And to answer the question of how to write the law to avoid contradictions, I can tell you the following. Regardless of whether the interest rate will be raised to, for example, 3%, as proposed, or whether a fee of UAH 20 thousand per employee will be introduced, it is in any case better than uncertainty».

And such uncertainty, according to A. Shabelnikov, should be eliminated as soon as possible so that businesses can adjust to the new conditions. «Of course, it is desirable to proceed from the fact that it is realistic for a particular company to pay a certain amount. These payments require a revision of the company's budget, so it is advisable to enshrine these rules at the legislative level as soon as possible», - he said.
