BCU: approval of a sample form of the advocate’s CPD Certificate

On 17 December 2015 the Bar Council of Ukraine decided to approve the sample form of the Certificate on the advocate’s continuing professional development.

From now on, the regional bar councils will provide advocates with the CPD certificate in accordance with the approved sample form.

The above certificate will be issued to an advocate after the expiry of three years, during which the latter raised his or her professional qualification.

CPD certificates must meet, both inform and in contents, the requirements of Annex 1 to the Advocates’ CPD Procedure.

CPD Certificate may also be issued by the President of the Bar Council of Ukraine.

For information: In 2015 a three-year reporting period of assessment, which is provided for by paragraphs 12-15 of the Advocates’ CPD Procedure, has expired. Advocates are reminded, therefore, that they should submit to the respective regional bar council, no later than 31 January 2016, a record card of CPD points, the sample form of which is set in Annex 7 to this Procedure, along with the copies of documents confirming their CPD in 2015.
