The first book of short stories by lawyers was presented
A collection of fiction by Ukrainian attorneys «Diary of My Lawyer» was published. The publication combines short stories, essays and novels written by attorneys - participants of the first All-Ukrainian prose competition among attorneys «Personal View».
The diary was presented by its author and compiler, expert of the Ukrainian National Bar Association's Committee on Humanitarian Issues and Creative Initiatives Andriy Osipov during the meeting of the Bar Council of Ukraine held on December 13-14.
The competition, organized by the Committee in cooperation with the UNBA Center for Bar and Law Studies in 2021, provided an opportunity for lawyers from all over the country to demonstrate their literary talents and share their thoughts, experiences and stories. It has become an important event in the world of the legal community, as it has opened up new horizons for the creative self-realization of lawyers.
«All the works included in this collection reflect the versatility and depth of the authors' personal and professional experiences, as well as their vision of modern society and law, - said Lidiya Izovitova, the President of the UNBA, BCU. - Each individual work is a unique view of the world seen through the eyes of those who daily protect human rights and interests, fighting for justice. This collection inspires new thoughts, discoveries and perception of various aspects of life and law».
Everything written in the book is based on personal experience and real cases of Ukrainian lawyers. At the same time, all private information, such as names, surnames, age, marital status, place of residence, nationality, profession, etc. have been changed. Therefore, any coincidences and any resemblance to real persons, living or deceased, that may have arisen as a result of these changes are entirely coincidental and unintentional.
