Advocates and forensic experts join forces: plans for cooperation discussed

At the National Scientific Center «Bokarius Institute of Forensic Expertise» of the Ministry of Justice, a working meeting was held between the management of this expert institution and Lidiya Izovitova, the President of the National Bar Association of Ukraine, the Bar Council of Ukraine.

Together with the Director of the Institute Serhiy Tyulenev, Deputy Director for Research Ella Simakova-Yefremian and Deputy Director for Expert Work Volodymyr Minenko, the President of the UNBA discussed topical issues of scientific and expert work.

In particular, it is planned to prepare and sign a memorandum of cooperation and interaction. Within the framework of this memorandum, UNBA and the NSC will implement joint projects and hold events (seminars, symposia, conferences, etc.). Also, within the scope of their powers, they will provide scientific, methodological, advisory and practical assistance, in particular, on scientific activities.

«Establishing cooperation between the Bar and forensic experts will definitely be a step towards improving the quality of justice. Exchange of experience, scientific and methodological support, and joint initiatives... This will contribute to the improvement of expert activity and help lawyers to protect the rights of citizens more effectively, - said L. Izovitova. - Today we are laying the foundation for further cooperation and development of legal science in the interests of the legal community and society».
