Bar Council of Ukraine looking forward to contact the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Supreme Council of Ukraine on the matter of debt to advocates that provide free legal aid
Bar Council of Ukraine (BCU) looking forward to contact the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Supreme Council of Ukraine (Verkhovna Rada) on the matter of debt to advocates that provide free legal aid (FLA).
BCU will contact the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Verkhovna Rada on the matter of debt, which has been occurred to advocates that provide FLA.
Such decision was taken after a Sergii's Vylkov speech - Head of FLA UNBA Committee. He informed about existence of debts in many regions of Ukraine. This situation is being violation of advocates' rights that provide FLA.
According to estimated calculations, the debt is 100 million UAH.
In the open letter BCU will also apply to law enforcement authorities regarding misuse of budget funds in the FLA system.Popular news

Advocate Irena Maria Ostrozka-Sangushko has been appointed as the representative of the Ukrainian National Bar Association in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the city of Cairo. The corresponding Order No. 80, dated March 10, 2026, was signed by the President of the UNBA, BCU Lidiya Izovitova.
