The Head of the UNBA Committee on International Law Vitalii Vlasiuk held a working meeting at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom. In particular, there was detailed the procedure for implementation of cooperation agreements on the basis of the relevant Memorandum between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and UNBA.

We recall, that the document was signed in November last year and provides for the promotion of our country abroad, the establishment and strengthening of business and cultural contacts, as well as the implementation of coordinated protection of the rights and interests of Ukrainian citizens abroad.

In addition, Vitalii Vlasiuk met with representatives of the Law Society of England and Wales. During the meeting with Foreign Policy Advisor Chika Moore and Head of International Policy Department Eleanor Farrow, a number of issues were discussed regarding the partnership between the Society and UNBA. In particular, the annual event "Days of English Law in Ukraine" in 2020 was confirmed and the Company's interaction with the UNBA foreign office in the UK was agreed.

The parties also exchanged views on the visa issue: representatives of the Society promised to draw the attention of Her Majesty's Government to the problem of non-issuance of visas to Ukrainian citizens.

UNBA continues to develop international activities and thanks its colleagues from the Law Society of England and Wales for constructive cooperation.

New rules, old problems: the UNBA discussed the work of the ETAIDF and MMC

The reform of medical-social assessment and military medical commissions has changed procedures but has not resolved practical issues. People face situations where documents are not issued, decisions are based on technicalities, assessments are delayed, and they struggle to demonstrate their actual health status in specific life situations.
