How a young lawyer can build a personal brand in social networks – panel discussion

People tend to trust lawyers who have a recognizable personal brand. It helps to attract new clients who are looking for a specialist with certain skills and experience.
The UNBA NextGen organized and held a panel discussion on «Building a Personal Brand by a Young Attorney on Social Media».
Recommendations on the effective use of social media to achieve professional goals were provided by Hanna Pochatovska, an expert in SMM (social media promotion, content creation).
She familiarized the participants with strategies for developing a personal brand, emphasized the importance of choosing a platform (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.) depending on the target audience. In particular, she spoke about maintaining a professional tone of communication, participating in professional groups and associations, and publishing customer reviews while maintaining confidentiality.
H. Pochatovska also noted that a personal brand can help an attorney expand his or her network of contacts and open up new opportunities for career growth. And since people value experience and reputation, attorneys with a strong personal brand can charge higher fees for their services.
For attorneys, creating videos on TikTok can be an effective way to increase visibility, attract new clients, and demonstrate their expertise. Vladyslav Kormushyn, Deputy Chairman of the UNBA NextGen, shared his experience of building a personal brand on this social network. He provided advocates with several recommendations on how to determine the target audience and goals: who are your potential clients, what topics are they interested in, what goals do you want to achieve?
The lawyer urged to create interesting and informative content. To do this, you need to generate short and dynamic videos, explain complex legal issues in simple terms, answer frequently asked questions from clients, share tips and tricks, and use humor and creativity. At the same time, one should not forget about the professional tone, as well as ethical standards and professional responsibility.
During the event, the UNBA NextGen Deputy Chairman also introduced Alina Cherkashchenko as the newly appointed regional representative of the committee in Poltava region.
