Young lawyers can compete for the title of best in their profession
Applications are now being accepted for the All-Ukrainian annual competition «Young Lawyer of the Year», which has been recognizing the most active representatives of the new generation of lawyers for over a decade.
One of the partners of the event is the UNBA NextGen.
According to the organizer's terms and conditions, lawyers under the age of 35 who have a higher legal education and can confirm their professional achievements for 2024-2025 are eligible to participate in the competition. Applications must be submitted by October 27.
The winners will be selected by an expert jury, which includes lawyers with undisputed authority in the community, in the following categories:
- young civil servant;
- young advocate;
- young assistant advocate;
- young scientist;
- young legal advisor;
- young advocate - public figure;
- young judicial system employee;
- law student;
- young lawyer from the FLA;
- young lawyer - defender of military personnel;
- young partner of a joint-stock company, law firm, or bar association;
- young prosecutor's office employee;
- legal clinic;
- young lawyer in the field of intellectual property;
- legal blog.
The aim of the competition is to support talented young people, develop the professional potential of lawyers, and enhance the prestige of the legal profession. This year, the organizers emphasize that the competition is not only a recognition of individual achievements, but also a platform for bringing together active young people who are shaping the standards of the modern legal environment. The first award ceremony for young lawyers took place in 2013. Since then, the project has become a tradition that brings together different generations of professionals, from students to partners in law firms.

The Roadmap on the Rule of Law is not a basis for restructuring the model of advocacy, but a framework for verifying and improving the already European-oriented system. At the same time, part of the work has already been done, so further progress should be made in the form of coordinated and practical decisions.
