Congratulations on the anniversary of the establishment of the Ukrainian National Bar Association

November 17 marks the thirteenth anniversary of the establishment of the Ukrainian National Bar Association, a professional self-governing organization that has united advocates from all regions of the country into a single independent institution.

Over the years, the UNBA has become not only a governing body for the profession, but also a guarantor of its independence, legal culture, and public trust. Through its self-governing bodies, advocacy ensures compliance with ethical standards, provides professional assistance to colleagues, represents Ukraine in international legal organizations, and protects the rights of every advocate.

We have gone through a process of formation, unification, and trials — from the establishment of legislative guarantees to the struggle for real independence of the profession in wartime. Each new challenge — from attempts to discredit advocacy to interference in professional activities — only strengthened our community and proved that the Ukrainian advocacy is a true institution of democracy.

I sincerely thank all my colleagues for their dedication to the profession, for their daily work and unity, thanks to which the Ukrainian advocacy remains strong, respected, and capable of defending the law — even in the most difficult times.
