Ukrainian advocates invited to Bonn for internship
Young Ukrainian advocates specializing in civil, commercial, and economic law have the opportunity to participate in an internship program in Germany. The program is organized by the International Legal Cooperation Foundation (IRZ) in cooperation with the Federal Bar Association and the German Bar Association.
Seminars for program participants and internships at law firms will take place in Bonn from October 26 to November 29, 2025, according to the IRZ Foundation.
The organizer said that preference will be given to candidates with experience in legal practice.
However, applications will also be accepted from trainee lawyers who are completing their professional training. At the same time, fluency in German, including legal terminology, is a prerequisite for a successful internship. Applicants must therefore be prepared to take a German language test.
Advocates who already work for a law firm operating in Germany or having offices there or being affiliated with a German law firm are not eligible to participate in the program.
Ukrainian advocates who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in an internship abroad should contact the IRZ Foundation by August 8 and send a completed application form, photo, CV, and proof of German language proficiency (certificate, diploma, etc.) to tenhaft@irz.de.
The organizers of the event will cover the following expenses:
- accommodation and meals during the introductory and final evaluation seminars;
- travel from the venue of the introductory seminar to the internship location and from the internship location to the venue of the final evaluation seminar;
- accommodation at the place of internship;
- daily allowance of 550 euros for the entire duration of the internship.
For more information about the internship, please see the program description.
