Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Young European Advocates Contest, organized by the Academy of European Law (ERA) and the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE).

The contest brings together representatives from European countries. Since our country participates in the EU's Justice Program, Ukrainians are also invited to participate.

Participants will work in mixed international teams and solve practical role-playing tasks related to digital law, data protection and artificial intelligence, economic law, cross-border cooperation in civil and commercial disputes, and criminal cases.

The jury, which includes leading practitioners of European law, will evaluate not only knowledge but also advocacy skills: preparation of a written legal position, negotiation, and presentations before a judge.

Beginners are eligible to participate in the competition: interns and advocates with up to three years of experience. A working knowledge of English is a prerequisite for participation.

The competition gives participants the chance to learn how to integrate EU law into their daily practice, receive feedback from renowned European practitioners, improve their advocacy skills in written and oral argumentation, and expand their professional contacts and experience working with colleagues from different countries.

Applications (the form can be filled out here) will be accepted until December 15, 2025.

Full information is available on the competition website.
