NextGen Odessa and Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odessa region agreed on cooperation
On July 18, Head of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odessa region Ruslan Sauliak and representative of the UNBA NextGen Odessa Volodymyr Matsko signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The parties agreed to work together to improve the quality of legal aid and the professional skills of young advocates, since the level of legal assistance they provide to citizens depends on the level of their knowledge and skills.
“We have a primary purpose in establishing communication with the Ministry of Justice, as we, practicing advocates, often cooperate with this agency and quite often some questions arise regarding the application of certain norms of the law, and through this cooperation we will find common solutions of this problem,” - said Volodymyr Matsko, a representative of the UNBA NextGen Youth Committee.
“Signing this memorandum is not only a collaboration with young advocates who have just stepped in the profession and try to choose in which legal field to implement themselves, but also to provide qualified practical assistance to our citizens. It is very important,” - said the head of the Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odessa region Ruslan Sauliak.
It should be noted that Main Territorial Department of Justice in the Odessa region holds monthly consultations of citizens with professional advocates and internships of employees of legal services during which advocates have the opportunity to improve their professional level. Participation in such events of representatives of the Youth Committee will enable young advocates to gain even more experience and to assist citizens at a highly professional level.
