Ukrainian attorneys get a chance to do an internship in Wales
Church Court Chambers and Apex Chambers in the UK, in cooperation with the Ukrainian National Bar Association, are organizing a second paid internship program for Ukrainian lawyers. This time in Wales.
Those interested should submit their applications by October 9. The Ukrainian National Bar Association will shortlist the three best candidates from which Apex Chambers will select the trainee(s).
Requirements for candidates:
- membership in the Ukrainian National Bar Association;
- 1 to 7 years of experience in the practice of law;
- knowledge of the English language;
- legal grounds for traveling abroad.
To participate in the selection process, applicants should send to o.klymyuk@unba.org.ua a cover letter and their resume in English, a photograph, a copy of their passport and an extract from the Unified State Register dated 2023.
The internship program will start shortly and will last for 6 weeks. The mini-internship (250 GBP/week) will be held in the capital of Wales - Cardiff. Cardiff. It will include working with barristers at the Chamber of Advocates, taking notes during court hearings, and assisting in the search for necessary information.
The first Church Court Chambers program was implemented in 2022. Back then, three Ukrainian lawyers completed an internship in London.
