The finalists of the Moot Court Tournament have been selected
On March 14 and 15, 2024, the first round of the Moot Court Tournament for law students, organized by the UNBA NextGen, took place. Two teams of participants were selected to meet in the final on April 8, 2024.
The Tournament was attended by 4 teams:
- League of Justice (team captain Kateryna Galchenko);
- Youth Association (team captain Oksana Ferin);
- Witnesses of the Rule of Law (team captain Maria Bondarieva);
- Victorem (team captain Iryna Borko).
The participants received a case outline from the organizers, and each team was assigned the status of a party in an impromptu court hearing - plaintiff or defendant.
In the first round, the teams League of Justice (coached by Andriy Ivanitsky and Olga Shcherbakova) and Youth Association (coached by Serhiy Berzin and Zhanna Hrushko) competed. In the second round, the teams Witnesses of the Rule of Law (coached by Bohdan Chyzh and Victoria Konovalova) and Victorem (coached by Vladyslav Bohdanov and Iryna Butyrska).
The tournament judges noted the high level of organization and training of the students: «All the participants are ambitious and strive for development, and that is good to see. It is a pleasure to watch such a talented new generation of lawyers».
According to the results of the voting in the first round of the Moot Court Tournament, the Youth Association and Witnesses of the Rule of Law teams won and will meet in the final to determine the winner.
