UNBA representatives appeared in Czech Republic and Ghana
Representatives of the Ukrainian National Bar Association were appointed in Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic) and Accra (Republic of Ghana).
The relevant order was signed by Lidiya Izovitova, the President of the UNBA, BCU.
Galyna Papazova, the representative in Accra, has two degrees - she graduated from Donetsk National University with a degree in Law and from the National Pedagogical Dragomanov University with a degree in English translation. She is also a certified mediator. For 15 years, she has worked in the areas of business project support, representation in court, defense during criminal prosecution, and participated in social projects.
Vadym Lavrivskyi, representative in Karlovy Vary, received his law degree from the Lviv Institute of Internal Affairs. He also graduated from the Czech Institute CEVRO Institut, z.ú. in Prague with a degree in Arbitration and Mediation and received an international Master of Laws (LL.M.). He is the author of scientific and educational works on attorneys' ethics, philosophy, law, political science and sociology, which are used in the educational process of higher educational institutions of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. He is a patron of the project «Research on the History of the Bar of Zaporizhzhia Region» and financed the publication of the book «Essays on the History of the Bar of Zaporizhzhia Region» at his own expense.
It should be reminded that according to the Regulations on the UNBA's representation abroad, approved by the UNBA's decision No. 59 dated 02.09.2022, the UNBA representatives abroad:
- represent the interests of the UNBA in a particular state in relations with representatives of foreign bar self-government bodies, representatives of foreign state bodies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, scientific institutions, as well as with individuals and legal entities;
- cooperate with foreign diplomatic missions in the state of residence;
- establish contacts with foreign partners of UNBA, maintain and develop relations with international organizations;
- organize and conduct lectures, seminars, trainings, conferences and other informational and educational events;
- work on attracting grants and funds from foreign charitable foundations (organizations);
Financing of UNBA representatives' activities abroad is carried out at their own expense, at the expense of sponsors (individuals and legal entities), charitable foundations (organizations) and is based on the principle of self-financing. The UNBA does not finance or cover the expenses of its representatives.
