UNBA website adapted to the needs of the visually impaired
On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, which is celebrated on December 3, the official website of the Ukrainian National Bar Association has become convenient for viewing information by those citizens with poor eyesight.
The relevant updates were implemented in accordance with international recommendations on inclusiveness.
In particular, the version of the website for the visually impaired provides for:
- more contrasting text and background in black and white
- the ability to increase the text size (up to 150%) without using assistive technologies while maintaining functionality
- the presence of a black theme;
- Alternative text for links (voiceover).
To activate these features, click on the icon with the image of an eye in the upper right corner of the site.
Work on adapting the site for people with special needs is ongoing.

The competition was organized by the UNBA Committee on humanitarian issues and creative initiatives in cooperation with the Center for advocacy and legal research. The entries were evaluated based on originality, the relevance of the chosen topic and the level of technical skill.
